Marvel’s official description says Doomsday follows heroes from three distinct universes who are set on a collision course and must face an existential threat unlike anything they have faced. Robert Downey Jr. was announced as Doctor Doom in July 2024, along with the return of the Russo brothers as directors, according to Wikipedia. Filming ran from April to September 2025. The film was originally dated for May 1, 2026 and was moved to December 18, 2026, according to Yahoo Entertainment.

Wikipedia’s production page describes the Avengers, the Wakandans, the Fantastic Four, the New Avengers and the X-Men teaming up against Doom. Marvel has not published a full synopsis, so plot details beyond its official description stay in the reported category on this page.

India Release Date: December 17 or December 18?

On October 18, Pinkvilla reported that Avengers: Doomsday will open in India on Thursday, December 17, 2026, a day before its US date. The report says the Thursday opening gives it a four-day first weekend, the same advantage Spider-Man: Brand New Day had. NewsBytes, citing the same report, says it will face Dune 3 on December 18 and Shah Rukh Khan’s King on December 24. Belloria has not found an official India date from the studio, so December 17 is marked Reported until it is confirmed.

VisionQuest streams on JioHotstar in India from October 14, 2026, in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, according to Esquire India and Koimoi. Paul Bettany leads the series, and Bollywood Hungama reports that James Spader returns as Ultron. Esquire India calls it the last live-action Marvel series before Avengers: Doomsday, and Free Press Journal reports that the series is connected to the film. Neither Marvel nor Disney has said how, so treat the link as reported.

Disney+’s international schedule has two episodes on October 14, two on October 21, two on October 28, and one each on November 4 and November 11, ending with the eighth episode on November 11, according to The Mac Observer. JioHotstar began with the October 14 release, and the weekly dates should be checked in the app.
